Top of the engine cylinder is also called as engine head casings or cover. It consists of heavy metal like caste iron to withstand the head generated in engine while combustion reaches about 900-1000° C.
The image shows the components of cylinder head. Rocker arm is a shaft connected with valves of the engine which is parallely connected with engine crank shaft via chain drive.
