This image shows the material composition of spark plug.
A spark plug has a metal threaded shell. It is electrically isolated from the electrode in the centre bg a porcelain insulator. The central electrode is connected to the output terminal using an insulated wire. The metal shell of the plug is electrically grounded by screwing the engine's cylinder head. The central electrode passes through the combustion chamber.
-Corrugation prevents the reversal of spark
-Alumina ceramic is used as an insulator
-Zinc plate is coated with chromate
-Copper core is used to give high conductivity
