This images shows the different types of transformer.Transformer is a device helps to reduce and increase the voltage as per the requirement of power in any particular area. Transformer is working on the basic principle of electromagnetic induction through which an AC current passes through a coil and generates electro magnetic force ( emf ) which helps to induce the another coil. Hence the voltage of the second coil is controlled by using power supply of the first coil. The distribution transformer is found in a particular street or area whereas power transformer is found in industrial area.
